Ahaha the one thing I really learned in Color Theory was that you can make any color combination "work" It's all about color mixing and more colors work with eachother than most people think!
For example the colors in here Red and blue work because: Red and green are complements to each other and Orange and blue are complements. The blue has a lot of green in it and the red has a lot of orange. To make sure that the blue was in more places than the sky it's painted into parts of the ground and near the horizon to add aerial perspective.
So yes that tutorial is absolutely correct and helpful : D
I cannot even begin to describe how much I like this. Every single thing about it just tickles my tastebuds in the most fortunate of ways, right from those gloriously bold lines to that wonderful dusty dry setting. Firstly the colour scheme; never has mine eyes set upon something that they could drink so deeply from, I absolutely adore it. And the style in which it's done - that guttural, almost primal textural which blends the focus and the background almost like they were grown from each other, simply amazing. And it brings such emotion too! I don't even think I could get my character looking out with such purpose. And I love the edition of the poncho and the bangade, it gives a real sense of journy, not to mention the ponsho has a most appealing design, I just want to hold it forever. There is so much more I could say about it but honestly the love I am feeling towards you right now is eating away at my brain and just making me asdsghjsdklsdflk. So thank you, so much. <3
;u; thank you so much for your lovely words. That's the most enthusiastic response I've ever recieved that didn't need to be punctuated with exclamation marks and ones. I was happy to draw them for you : D
